Natural timber used for flooring, decking or lining / cladding boards is a beautiful addition that brings the grounding and settling aspect of nature into your home.

TIMBER GRADING

Timber flooring and decking is graded by the amount of natural feature which is distinguished by selective gum veins, spirals, burls, insect trails and other natural features that give timber floors a unique character, as individual as a signature.

SELECT GRADE (A+ Grade)

Timber flooring that provides a low level of natural features. These natural features are clear with a low wastage of 5%. The low levels of natural feature present the floor with a uniform look that is best suited to modern, minimalist styles.

STANDARD AND BETTER GRADE (A – A+ Grade)

This timber includes the most interesting and moderate features of Australian grade flooring. This grade offers a minimum level of natural features best suited to a modern style. Often used for Decking & flooring with a wastage between 5% - 10%.

NATURAL / FEATURE GRADE (B Grade)

Includes the most interesting and moderate natural features to enhance the look of a timber floor. Here the timber shows more features including gum vein, knots and some small knot holes, (depending on the species of timber). Wastage can be up to 10%.

CHARACTER OR RUSTIC GRADE (C Grade)

Displays a high level of natural features, including mill machining marks. This grade offers a unique, aged look with extenuated natural features and is well-suited to both commercial interiors and traditional decors. As a factory seconds type product, it represents great value at up to 60% cheaper than A Grade. A minimum of 20% wastage is required.

Logs in Forest

We have a wide selection of products to choose from:

Solid Hardwood Tongue & Groove Flooring
Tongue and groove flooring uses specialised cuts to join flooring pieces together, forming a single, flat surface. Tongue and groove flooring can be installed over joists, is cheaper than most click-fitting flooring, can be floated or glued down, and requires very little maintenance.

Solid Hardwood Decking
If you want to expand your flooring outside your home, solid hardwood is a great option. This timber is strong and durable, easy to clean and maintain, and doesn’t hold dust, dander, pollen or other allergens. Solid hardwood is ideal for decking because it can handle all the elements.

Solid Hardwood Parquetry
Parquetry blocks and timbers are specialised to create unique looks in homes, offices and other buildings. Using a tiling effect, they can create all types of flooring designs include herringbone, starburst, centre-out, squares, triangles—the possibilities are endless.

Engineered Flooring & Decking
Engineered flooring is an excellent choice for rental renovations and other projects where solid hardwoods are not possible or affordable. In most cases, engineered flooring is less expensive than hardwood flooring, looks similar in design to more expensive options, is resistant to significant temperature swings, and can work with underfloor heating systems.
